here is some information for those interested.
general observations from inside of the court room.
there were 96 cases of chapter 7 on the docket today.
75% of folks were wearing bluejeans? I counted 5 hats being worn in the courtroom, one guy dressed like a biker, about 15 people looked like they didnt comb their hair, and a few folks looked homeless. There were others dressed nicely. One guy caught my eye with a huge fake diamond ear ring, almost the size of a dime in his ear! Lawyers running around like ants trying to find their "clients" whom they have never seen. (thats why i didnt go to a big firm, my lawyer walked right up to me while others were shouting names and looking lost) A few folks looked really scared and a couple looked like they had been crying as we entered the court. Most were loud the entire time, I couldnt hear the trustee question other folks...
However, there were almost 30 cases before me, not one creditor showed up and most cases lasted from 3-5 minutes except the couple that went right before me. The trustee grilled them with a barrage of questions for nearly 10 minutes, when she was done with them she called me. I hit my stop watch as I walked to the table were she was at. She hit me with questions at a very fast impatient pace, then said "ok, thats it"
I hit my watch.
