    Cell Phone Rebate

My husband and I had at&t and bought a internet card through them. We had to pay the money for it and then got a rebate form to send it. This was a couple months ago.

Our cell phone service was getting so expensive that we just recently shut everything off. We owed around 400 and now due to fees and ending contract fees we owe almost 1000.00

I receieved my rebate in the form of a Visa card. Do I spend it or will they consider it fraud? If so, what do I spend it on? I already have as many groceries as I can hold in the house so please dont say food lol

It is definitely not fraud to spend your rebate card. A lot of pre-paid visa's have time limits before they begin losing value. Spend it on clothes, food, car repair, a meal out on a stressful night. Goodness knows there's plenty of those during this process.

Don't worry there is no linkage (ATT can't grab back the money) but if you're worried buy a gift card for the supermarket or gas, just to add one more degree of separation.
