I have not received a letter from the trustee to tell me what to bring, does everyone receive a notice? When I filed, the trustee was sent a packet with a copy of my 2007 tax return and 60 days prior pay stubs.

It is possible the packet you sent him was enough.
My trustee required no additional information other than what my lawyer had accumulated in the process of filling out the paperwork.May 31st, 2007: Petition Filed by my lawyer
July 2nd, 2007: 341 Meeting Held
September 4th, 2007: Discharged and Closed.

My Lawyer made copies of everything I gave him (deeds, titles, license, ss card, policies, etc..) and told me that to bring ALL of the originals along with any new paystubs PLUS the 6 weeks of paystubs that they already had because the Trustee might want to see the originals.
Im in the Southeastern district of Mi. so YMMV.Retained bk7 laywer 8-12-08, Filed 12-22, 341 Meeting Scheduled 1-29-09
Discharged 4-17-09!!!
Reason for filing: Medical, NOT irresponsibility with credit.

I didn't get the trustee questionairre until about 4 days before my 341, so you might still get something from them. It was no big deal though-just 10-12 generic, routine questions about how we'd spent money, what accounts we had, etc. I actually thought it was kind of a waste of paper because he didn't ask anything that we hadn't already included in our paperwork. I guess it's just another way for them to look for red flags.
