    Why is life so hard

SO to start off im filing BK but am unemployed to. However, I'm on probation for two charges. I was told if I were to take the P.T.I it wouldn't show up on my background check for employers. However, this isn't the case. I got turned down from a banking job due to the charges. It was a great opportunity and I had my offer letter. Since the two charges show I have pretty much exhausted all my employment options in this bad economy. I have until Oct 09' till I'm off probation. Pretty much I'm screwed as I have no income and only out going. I'm ready to just give up. Collecotrs calling, no job, no health insurance, etc. I have tried everything. Pretty much my probation is driving me to BK. I hate life now.

I know things may seem grim right now but i will get better. As you as you have your health, the other things will turn around. Did you try going to an employment agency and tell them your situation? Maybe they can help you out with a place that does not do backgrounds checks. I wish you luck and please keep your chin up. It does get better.

Pre-Trial Intervention... yeah. If it has been at least a year (or two), and you haven't been in trouble... try getting the records sealed.

Oh... October 2009 you're off probation... bummer. You have a fighting spirit, that's why you're on this board, looking for answers.

While we can't solve all your problems, many have been through similar trying situations. I can empathize with where you are right now. I think you're doing the right things to get back on track.

Try being up-front in your applications about the incident. So long as it wasn't a fiduciary crime or crime of violence, you may find success in your endeavors to find employment.

See if you can get an expungement. If you were put on "probation" you were either adjudicated guilty or had your guilt withheld. That might be imprtant in your decision to have you records expunged. Due to your charges and if it was a banking job, they prob couldnt get you bonded. Did they ask you on your application if you had any criminal history?

Yes the arrest can be expounged from my record 6 months after probation ends. So I still have a long way to go before that comes up.

Until that time your criminal record is public information unfortunately and until the expungement goes through which can take some time. Educate yourself on your state's requirements for that and get yourself an attorney to help you out, and if you cannot afford an attorney, look into Legal Aid. Sometimes things take time but in the end are worth it. The other poster's advice as to an employment agency and discussing your situation is great advice as they may be able to help you in the interim find a position until you can get this resolved.
