    PACER - save money

Ok I have seen this floating around but I just want everyone to know that unless the date has changed on the main screen within the query page, you do NOT need to check anything more. That is assuming you have reviewed the previous information.

    look for something like this:

    Date of last filing: 01/06/2009

This will tell you that your case has been updated, if you have already reviewed - and the date has not changed since you have, then you do not need to go any further! This will save you time and MONEY!
    Filed: 11/25/08 - chp 7 no asset
    Discharged: 2/24/09 CLOSED 3/7/09!

That's great advice. I'm hesitant to do too much on Pacer . I keep having an irrational fear that I'm going to click on the wrong button & end up owing for thousands of pages.
      Filed Ch 7 Petition: 12/17/08
      341 Meeting: 01/14/09
      Discharged: 03/18/09
      Closed: 03/18/09

I just got my quarterly bill and I owe about $18. That is okay with me. I didn't hesitate to look any anything and everything I wanted to about my case. I did look up just a couple of other cases for my attorney to check on a couple of things for our district, etc but 99% of the time I looked at my case only. I didn't click very often into things if I saw that the date of last filing hadn't changed.

I probably won't have to pay any money for this quarter as I was just discharged and probably haven't/won't pile up enough hits to be over $10.

I don't think you likely have anything to worry about. Like I said, the $18 was worth it to me to have peace of mind to look at what I wanted when I wanted.
