Is this going to be a problem?

I read somewhere that at the 341 meeting, the Trustee asked how much was in your checking account on the day you filed.

My Laywer filed me 12-22-08. My health insurance was due to come out the next day and I deposited $200 on the day I filed. I had no idea what day the lawyer was filing me, I just received a packet in the mail.

Is this going to be an issue? After the health insurance went through, I had $2.73 in the account. On my budget, I have $4 left over at the end of the month.

I'm a little confused. You deposited $200 the day you filed? So what amount did you tell your lawyer you had in your account? Your lawyer should have called you the day he was filing to see what the amount you had. Did they not do this?

Nope they did not call, they told me theyd be filing me "sometime in December".

My health insurance debits out of my acct on the 26th of every month. So I deposited the money on the 23rd seeing that I couldnt make a deposit Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.....

I double checked. The lawyer filed me 12-22, that day my balance was $2.xx - the same day I deposited $200 but looking at my online statement it didnt post until 12-23, So i suppose "technically" the day I filed "12-22" I only had $2.xx in the account. It was drafted out on 12-26 and left me with $2.xx again.

Am I like in mega trouble or what?! I called my lawyers office but they arent open today.

Well if your bank says you deposited it on 12/23 You should be fine. Plus you have proof that it was deducted for insurance. There shouldn't be a problem.
I'm surprised your lawyer didn't call you the day they filed. Mine says they call that day to see what your balance(s) are.

In any case, this is a non problem. Only two hundred for one thing, and for Health Insurance? If your Trustee asks, just tell him. This is not worth your worry. ‘Hub
