Debit Card

My checking account comes with a MasterCard debit card. It is debit only and has no credit limit. Will that get canceled when I file BK since it is part of MasterCard. I use it to mail order my medications and buy gasoline at the pump etc.

My debit card (also a Mastercard) did not get canceled when I filed because I left my bank account open. I think they will only close it (since it's not really a line of credit) if you close your bank account. Anyhow, I filed CH 13 in Sept 2007 and still can use my debit Mastercard if that's any help.

No, it will not, as it's an extension of credit.

But before I just make a bold blind statement like that... there are some caveats. Such as... is this account with a Credit Union? Do you have other debts with that Bank (credit cards, car loans, mortgages, etc)?

Those things can make my response more limited in scope.
