    Student Loan question...

I still owe $3900 on my student loan. Why is my acct. status suspended? When do I start back making payments?

It was included in my ch.7, yet I've heard Student Loans can not be eliminated in bankruptcy.

    I'm so confused!

Your student loan payments are automatically suspended during BK. They are not dischargeable and shortly after your case has been discharged regular payments will be due again. Think of it as an involuntary forbearance.

Yes - Help is right BUT you can still make payments and I recommend it so interest doesn't accrue and you stay on track. Also - a nice to know that I didn't know is that after your discharge your gov't sub. loans will be recalculated and you will probably have a lower monthly payment. At least this is what happened to me. Mine went from 275 a month to 50.
