    Ride through versus reaffirm

So I am not clear on these and what is the difference? We are filing January 26th. We are keeping our house but letting 2 cars go. I saw where someone said they did a ride through on their house. What is the difference?

A ride through, if allowed, will permit you to keep making payments on your house, without signing a re-affirmation agreement.

It is of general agreement that "ride throughs" aren't really permitted anymore (post BAPCPA of 2005), but many lenders don't care so long as you're on-time with your payments (and not behind pre-petition).

well we are not behind on payments we just pay them late. IE our payment is due on the 1st every month but we pay around the 21st because of the way our paydays fall. We are financed with Chase Home Mortgage. Anyone know if they allow ride throughs?
