    Schedule d, Secured Creditors

    Question?

When would I place a "X" in the forms contingent, liquidated and disputed blocks for a secured creditor?

I have one secured creditor that is from a collection agency that sued me with past due medical bill's and this resulted in a wage garnishment.

    Thanks,

    Night

Contingent means the debt is based on an event that has not yet happened

Unliquidated means an outstanding loan whose amount has not yet been determined, such as the amount of damages in a car accident that has not yet been established by court action.

Disputed means that you dispute either the amount or even the existance of the debt.

Yes it is possible to even have more than 1 of those with an X but it is also possible not to have an X in any of them.

Medical bills are not a secured debt, regardless of whether they have a judgement or have garnished you. Medical bills=unsecured.

Not unless they took a security interest in your body. (Okay, that was bad.)
