    Ugh..now I am sooo confused....

    Ok,
I was planning on filing this Wednesday. But now I just saw a thread where you MUST include your boyfriend/girlfriend/roommates income if you live with them. My roommate had a FT job a few months ago but recently left for the FAA academy where he makes 9.50 an hour. I really did not want to drag him in this at all as he already is mad at me for needing to file. Are they going to make me pull his work stubs from his previous job and his earnings at the academy now??? I am so stressed now. Any help would be appreciated. I thought all I had to do was fill out those darn forms in the back of my nolo book, bring 299.00 and my ID and SS card to the courthouse. Now I am thinking this is going to turn into one giant clusterf**k. ARGH!

Well we have been living together for quite some time. but we are not living together right now since he will be in the academy through Feb 09. Do you happen to know what paperwork of his I need to bring?? I really feel sick to my stomach now because I promised him this wouldn't affect him at all and I know he is going to have a sh*t fit if I have to bring HIS personal info into this.

It will not affect him. is he still going to pay part of the rent and utilities? and other expenses?

I have ZERO income. NO job whatsoever. Had a few surgeries which have kept me from being able to work. The only income i ever made this year was I sold a gift card for a couple hundred dollars on ebay. He has paid everything for about 1.5 years and he is going into cc debt because of me. He makes only 9.50 an hour now and his school loans had to start being paid last month. Thank you for all your help TEW.

So why file the creditors can not do anything except bug you change you number If you get disability they can not take that either. once you are able to work think about filing.

I want to file now to get this behind me already. And, once he graduates and progresses through his training, his salary will soar and very quickly. So am I able to file? The only reason I dont have expenses is because of him. But after I file and get a job I have to move out. SO do you know what I have to include on my paperwork? I have ZERO expenses now but will have many after I am able to work again. So do I include future expenses that I know I will have? God I hate this. It seemed too easy...

                      Beeheery,

We have a similar situation. I posted in that thread too. All I was told was that if my roomate pays for rent and expensives, I would have to include that part of their income, I aksed if they would need his pay stubs, and they said no. I hope that is correct because I don't want to drag him into this, the debt is mine and our income is seperate. Only difference is I do make some money, not much.

you will have to show his income for the last 6 months and your expenses will be for a 2 person house hold. so you will need 6 months of pay stubs

Thank you TEW. I don't know why I wasn't told this, I asked a few times and was told his proof of income wasn't needed, this changes everything
