What happens to my car if the loan company doesn't reaffirm?

    Kuzam, this thread is over 3 years old. You would get more replies with current information if you post your own thread. To answer your question, you should be able to keep paying on the car and have no problems with the lender. However if you do decide to turn it in and get a cheaper car you can do so as long as you don't reaffirm the debt. Good luck to you.

      Ford is notorious for repo (without reaffirmation) as someone mentioned earlier, but awhile back people here were posting that they don't do it if the debt is less than $4000K or so. Apparently, there's an actually cut off number. $3800? $4800? Something like that.

        Does anyone have any experience with BMW Bank of North America vis-a-vis their position on repossession vs. retain and pay in Maryland?
