I noticed one of the BK questipons was is you are currently a plantiff in any lawsuits. I recently became a plantiff in a wrongfull termination/whistleblower lawsuit agains t agovernment agency, part of the reason I am having to file. These types of lawsuits drag on for years. Will this prevent me from filing? Will the trustee want to see the outcome of my lawsuit?

No, it does not prevent you from filing, nor does it prevent you from receiving a discharge of your debt.
It is possible that some of the award, depending on the nature of the lawsuit, is exempt. If not, the trustee can seize any judgment and could keep your BK case "open" until the case is resolved. However, the discharge is the goal of your BK, the fact that your BK is still open after discharge is of no concern to you.
