    The unused homestead exemption is only $4,000 per debtor ($8,000 for debtor and debtor-spouse).

    FYI, the Florida Homestead Exemption is unlimited when actually used on a homestead (real property).

      Just want to corrrect one thing. Florida's "homestead" is for your home only. It is not a wild card that you can use on just anything. If you do not own a house and are NOT claiming the "unlimited homestead" you now do have an extra $4k which you can claim as a wild card (per filer).
