Let the fun begin I guess!

My phone was ringing off the hook all.day.long. I didn't feel like answering it because I always let my house phone go to the machine since we don't have caller id. I avoid my mother Tonight I answered it and it was AT&T card with citi. I'm a week late. I just said I didn't know when we would be able to pay and just repeated that when she acted like I was crazy for not knowing. What can she do? Bite me? lol

Yeah sadly they'll start calling. I used to just leave my computer (dial up) hooked up so I didn't have to answer it. Later I got an answering machine and let it pick up.

I really wish my phone had better settings. I can only turn the volume down and not very far at that. There doesn't seem to be a way to turn off the ringer. And no do not disturb either. I might just buy a new phone with Do Not Disturb on it to save myself some annoyance.

Caller IDs and cheap phones with caller id display can be bought for less than 10 or 20 bucks at Walmart or Radio Shack. Small price to pay to know who's calling.

I have a phone capable of caller ID but we just haven't paid for the service. Now we are moving in a couple weeks out of state so it doesn't even make sense to add it now. Will add it when we get a rental there.

I did find how to turn my answering machine beeper off. And the base ringer. Have the upstairs ringer set to 2 rings. Least it would go. Better than nothing I guess!
