Hi! Saw the lawyer and paid a retainer, so I've been answering the phone and giving out his information. 2 calls down and 4 more to go. It will be so nice to own my phone again!
The lawyer visit went well. My sister and I live together with our mom and sis's granddaughter and our finances are a bit intertwined. We have to open separate bank accounts and get my name off my mom's credit card as an authorized user.
We don't own a home and owe on a van together but it isn't worth what is owed. Sis owns a car her daughter in college, but she should be able to exempt her half of the equity in that after the kid gets 3 quick appraisals. Told her not to empty out her trash and point out the dents and dings!!
Now we just have a ton of homework to get done! I'll try to find time to post more information about our situation on that other thread. Talk to y'all later!
