      Mine is tomorrow!!!

I am sort of nervous, but all I can do is be as prepared as possible! My attorney told me to bring my certificate of debtor education to the 341 tomorrow, so I jumped online and did it today... Nobody told me it would take a minimum of 24-48 hours to get it via email!!! CRAP! Oh well. I guess all I will have to do is make sure it is filed with the court prior to discharge. Is it typically required to have it with you at the 341?? Not gonna worry about it, from what I have gathered here, the majority of people worry themselves sick only to learn it is pretty painless.

I will tune in to report the outcome tomorrow night.

I had my 341 today. It didn't last over 5 minutes. I did not have to have my post filing debt management certificate but my attorney told me to do it asap. I only slept 3 hours last night....if that.....because of worrying about the meeting. It was a casual atmosphere and I did not feel like I was being judged by anyone. The trustee was very nice to everyone.
I still need to meet with my attorney again to make sure the paperwork is right, but I think there are only a couple of things....simple ones....to add/delete.
        Good luck to everyone else!!

I go tomorrow too. I will let you know how it goes - hopefully quick and smooth! We're the first ones on the docket after lunch so hopefully the trustee will be full and happy!

              Piece of cake~

We went in, sat down, did the usual "state your name and address"...she asked why we filed, we were done in less than 5 minutes. She didn't ask for any paperwork at all. No creditors showed. She said "I will recommend this case be closed"

There were a couple of cases before ours and she did ask for bank statements and tax returns, but they were also short and sweet.

So now I guess we are part of the 60 day club. Sit and wait

We had our 341 today. Not really a big deal - asked the usual state name, address, etc., did you read the docs, did you sign the docs. Asked me if I worked (currently homemaker), if I was still a student, if I was looking for work. Asked my husband what happened (why we were filing) - gave short questions (big snowstorm right after baby = no work for almost 3 months = have never been able to catch up). Then was done.

We thought we'd be first but there was actually one person ahead of us - attending via phone from prison! That was very interesting (and a bit long - embezzlement and money laundering). So, after that we figured ours had to be easier!

Guess I'm in the 60 day club now!

                      Mine is getting closer.
It is 11/26, the day before Thanksgiving in the afternoon. Hopefully the trustee will be dreaming of turkey and mashed potatoes and it will go quick.

Had mine last week. It was maybe all of 5 minutes. This what I was asked.

                          The trustee swore me in.

Asked my full name and address. (blah blah blah)
My lawyer had me confirm some signatures (yes)
Asked if I ever filed bankruptsy before. (no)
Asked if my debts were primarily medical bills and credit cards (yes)
Asked if I read this or understood that (yes)
Asked if after paying my bills if I had more then $200 left. (no)
Asked if I was leasing blank blank car. (yes)
Asked what happened to bring me here. (blah blah blah)
Asked if I owned my own business. (no)
In relation to the above He stated a credit card was listed as a business account and asked if it was or if it just happened to have been denominated that way. (must be the latter)

^^ some of those may be out of order

                          ...and that was it.

There were quite a few people there that day but I got to go 2nd. So I just saw the one guy go before me. They grilled that first guy more (my gf felt bad for him) and asked more and totally different questions then were asked of me obviously due having different specifics. So your mileage may vary

                              B65,

Mine was today. It's a snap- believe me- and I am a "worry wart". At first I didn't like the fact I was in a waiting area out in the open- i thought I'd be in my "own" room, where noone would see me- but after meeting the attorney (a nice-looking female :-0), and looking around, and seeing everyone in the same boat as me- I was more at ease. The one thing I didn't like was well in Ohio- three or four people and their attys go in at once into the room- so you sort of state your story in front of these other people- I wish you could do it at least in a private cube or something. No biggie- remember you'll never see these other people again. Questions are simple- a lot of yes - no questions. Your atty should prep you beforehand- mine was a no-asset case. The only thing of value I had was my car- 7 yrs old, and luckily for me, he stated with the car exemption bumped up recently- the value is barely above the exemption- and it doesn't look like he's gonna have me pay the meager $250 above it :-). We'll see what the next 60 days bring- January 24, 2009 is my day of freedom- if no objections. Good luck to you.
