    Means test vs scheule j

    Please clairfy for me

On the means test i am negitve -1200

but when i look on schedule J it looks like alot of the things are not on their such as daycare expense. after filling it out i have expenses that total 5359.

on the means test it shows I have decuctions of 10803

but it says i pass the means test and can file for chapter 7, but on the paperwork it looks like i would not qualify for a 7

i took the test on legalconsumer.com here is the results

    Your Means Test Summary
    Your Household Info
    Household size: 4
Location: Yolo County, California (West Region)
    Vehicles:
    - that you pay expenses on: 2 or more
    - that you own or lease: 2 or more

    Median Income Test
CA monthly median for a 4-person household: $6,418

Your monthly household income $9,600 (line 12)

    Means Test
    Monthly Income
Monthly income for means test: $9,600 (line 18)

    Monthly Expenses
Automatic Deductions for Yolo County: $6,961

Other Deductions (for Actual Expenses): $170

Deduction for Payment of Secured & Priority Debts & Contracts $3,672

    TOTAL DEDUCTIONS: $10,803

    Disposable Income
    $-1,203 per month
    ($-72,158 over 5 years)

how does this differ form the accutal forms and would i still be able to file for a 7?

where do you list daycare ect..

My main concern is that on the means test i am negitve but on the real paperwork I dont know if i am negitive.

    help?

There's no box for daycare on J, no.

You can pass the means, then show excess money on J, but if you explained your daycare expense, and that that takes all your excess income, I doubt they would consider pushing you into a CH13. If they had that intention, quit that job- is it even worth your while to work, really, having a daycare expense?

Put your child care expense under #17 OTHER. Write child care on the line and insert the monthly amount you pay.
