What is a large cash advance considered?

When we were having to pay our mortgage with our credit cards when we were without a job we were pulling like 1-2k off our cards at times. Are these considered large amounts? We paid our bills directly with our credit cards but we had to pull the cash off to pay our mortgage payments...

Think this will cause a huge problem?

At a minimum, you need to wait at least 70 days before you file BK if the amount of the cash advance was over $750. Other than that, whether the cash advance is large is subjective.

Ok well it will be after January 1st anyway since we won't be living in Ohio for 91dys until then anyway. I still need to find out if both of us need to live there for 91dys or just my husband is ok... so should be ok. Maybe we should just file in Feb.

I'm just worried about our tax return. If we file bk in 2009 will that affect our return we are expected to receive in March? Or will it affect the next years? I assume the next years? I read some on the tax refunds but I'm still confused.

How is BK going to affect your income tax. Or are you talking about any return you may get. You maybe able to exempt your return.

Yes, we should be getting a fairly decent return this year. hubby was thinking that the exemption would be exemption the return for 2009 since we will be filing in 2009... so when we file in 2010? Or will they take away the return we get soon after we file? I mean, I am ok with it anyway... it was all going to go towards debt before anyway. Just wondering. And in Ohio it doesn't look like we have many exemptions to play with. At all.
