    FINALLY we had our 341......

Hi Everyone - so we had our 341 this week. We got there early and watched probably 20 + cases. Everyone was the same questions. I was praying that our would go fast too!. The lady before us got called and she walks up with a LV purse, nails dones to the hilt and jewerly going on. So she gets up there and she asks for her picture of ID and SS so she goes into her L/V purse and pullls our a L/V wallet, the trustee says is that real and she says yes. I was like OMG. But, that was it nothing more. So we go up and she looks at our stuff and asks if we have any objections on being sworn in, naturaly, we say no and she asks the normal questions. Did you sign your petitioin, have you looked at your petition, do you own any other property, do you have any law suits pending etc. and says OK were are finshed and we go. We were probably up there for 3-5 minutes. Boy, were we happy! So now my question is - What happens next? What do I look for on pacer? This is what it says now: can you guys tell me what it means:
    Office: XXXX Filed: XXXX
    County: XXXX Terminated:
    Fee: Paid Discharged:
    Origin: 0 Reopened:
    Previous Term: Converted:
    Dismissed:
    Joint: y Confirmation Hearing:
    Nature of debt: consumer
Pending Status: Awaiting First Meeting ,Awaiting Discharge
    Flags: DebtEdJT, DebtEd, MEANSNO
The only think our fill-in attorney told us is that we need to do the 2nd debt education program. WHich we will do this weekend. So what do you guys think??

Jesse - sounds like it went very well!! No mention of the bonus?!

I believe the debt flags mean you need to file the Debtor Ed (something like that) class certificates. Have you taken them yet? My atty filed both of those electronically for me.

Congrats on getting over the hump!

Oh hell yes. LV= Louis Vuitton. They're a very very expensive company to buy purses and wallets from. There was no mention of how big the LV was, but for the cost of one of the little purses, I could very easily pay off one of my smaller debtors. I'm talking easily upwards of 400-500 dollars.

Here's their website, you'll see what I mean. Man, I wish I could drop money like that for a purse. I'm happy with my cheap Wal-Mart $20 knock off.

I had to go look... WOW! It is beyond my comprehension. $195 for a key holder!

I can see the sharks circling on LV lady.

                  Thanks everyone -

TEW - Yeah, I know. Now the 60 days has to go VERY smooth....

OH- the LV purse was the big one! Oh yeah, she was sporting the nails all frenched up and she would every once in a while hold them up and admire them. I said to my hubby, watch her get eatten up. Some people are just plain STUPID.... Why even rock the boat?

Thanks now I will wait for the 60 days to go by really really fast with no objections!!!!!!!!!!

When we were there - there was a couple in there 80's and i thought WOW what a shame, I wanted to cry for them. Ater all these years at this stage of the game they have to claim a BK. They looked so depressed. But atleast the trustee had a heart and was really kind with them and actually gave them some advice on help too. You see all kinds of people there. Young, middle ages and OLD... they were all there.

I had thought about this.. I wonder if there is a way to protect your home from BK.. At age 80 I would assume their home is paid for.. therefore it is an asset and could be forced to sell? It scares me to think about it.. I am only in my 30's to.

Hey now....ease up on those folks with "all frenched up" nails. Mine are REAL and I do them myself!

                          Just kidding...

While I do grow my own nails and salon manicures are a thing of the past...it blows me away what people consider "necessities". My SIL is BROKE yet comes over with her $500 Coach purse and gets her weekly mani/pedi!
