recent charges but i want to pay them if needed

If you are willing to pay on some charges would this be an issue with the rest of the BK. the charges are 6 months old but if they object does this dismiss the whole bankruptcy or can you agree to pay for those charges that are in dispute?

also do you have to pay for the entire credit card or just what ever they dispute,

The credit card is 7 months old and the balance is about $5000, there are lots of different charges from different places (food, gas, some luxury items ect and some gambling debt), would they make you pay on the entire 5000 balance or only on those items in question? such as the luxury items and maybe the gambling?

If they challenge your debt they do so on a line by line basis. So if you charged some luxury items it is possible they'll challenge those charges, but only those charges usually.

Cases are dismissed if fraud is involved, you fail to appear, or you fail to provide information the trustee asks for (though he'll give you a couple chances).

Thats good to know, to bad chevron does not sell TV's (JUST JOKING REALLY)

anyway i had to purchase some items because after BK (if i file) I would never be able to afford them. So even if they dispute the items I will be more than happy to pay for them. I have nothing to hide. If they ask about the purchase i will be honest with them and say ya i bought at and will keep it and still pay you for it.

One was a pool fence for the safety of my children the other ones were some things for the car such as tires, alignment and alarm system.

Those are reasonable household safety and maintenance issues, and are unlikely to cause any problems. But if I were you, I would keep my mouth shut. You cannot pick and choose which creditors to pay and which to BK on. You have to list them all. If you overlook one, then you have to amend your schedules and creditor matrix, at a court fee of $26.00.

Now, after you are discharged, you will be sent a copy of the judge's order, and on the back (at least in our district) was a rundown of debts discharged, and those that were not. At the very end of that non-discharged list was a statement, something like "...and any discharged debt that the debtor would like to pay." That was parapharased. But after discharge, if you want to pay the creditor back, that is fine. Just don't do anything before or during your 60 day wait, because then that will look like 'preferrential treatment' and could get your case dismissed.

        Good luck.
