My bankruptcy case is moving along, and I have three debts that I was planning on reaffirming (2 are mortgages, 1 is a car loan). For the car loan, my attorney had initially recommended not affirming anything unless asked by the bank.
Well, now the bank has sent paperwork about reaffirming. Does anyone have any experience with Chase Auto Finance on reaffirming vs ride through? Chase AUto Finance has been accepting my payments all along (I *push* payment with electronic txfr via bank/online), so I am current on payments. ALSO, my wife is listed as a co-borrower and she did *not* file the Ch 7 (I filed individually), so I would think that even if I tossed the reaffirmation papers in the trash can, they can;t come and pick up the car since she is listed on the loan as well.
Any thoughts? I would prefer not to sign the reaffirmation papers if I don't have to. Any comments?
