    TRying Chapter 7 with questions

    Hello to all,
    I just joined here and wanted to post right away.
    I am trying chapter 7, I own nothing of value. I tried one of those debt settlement programs which really messed my credit up.
    I haven't paid on some of my cards for quite some time.
    As I went to do bankruptcy I had a few tax problems which keeps me from filing right now. I have to wait until 2009 and file 2008 taxes and all will be fine.
    My concern is trying to buy the 4 months I would need without getting sued.
    I am being represented by a lawyer but I'm afraid to say this to the collectors due to fear of being sued.
    Any thoughts or concerns would be great.

    ray welcome to the forum
    have you gotten anything from any lawyers about your accounts that are over due?
    are they still just calling you?

      Hello, thanks for the welcome.
      I have not received anything from lawyers yet just debt collectors calling.
      I haven't paid on two of the cards for about 10 months now.
      About 4 of those were with a debt settlement company.
      I just need about 4 momths to hold everything off til then.
      Any thoughts on that would be great.

        I can only tell you that after my divorce i held 3 cc companies off for a year and half I never got sued
        Do you live in a garnishment state?
        You should be able to just squeak by
