This has been a long experience.
We filed 4/28/08, 341 scheduled 6/21/08, then court resceduled to 7/21/08, guess they were backed up.
The night before 341 I was double cheking everything and of course wife couldn't find ss card!
So we took everything we could find with her number, checked in and told the clerk right off we didn't have it, she smiles and says "that's okay, we already verified it, just need your drivers lic." whew!
341 went fine, no creditors, no assets. Let the house and 2 cars go, bought a good used one and now rent, it seems nice when something is wrong we don't have to figure how to juggle bills to fix it.
Our system has a toll free number to call and check status to keep from racking up pacer charges, called again today and about dropped the phone, DISCHARGED!!! awaiting closing.
So everyone you can get by with no credit cards, and good used reliable vehicles are out there cheap, cash is king.
Trust me we have been on pins and needles waiting, but the courts are swamped even in our rural area, I could only imagine bigger cities.
