What to do after 341?

I filed Chapter 7 pro se on 08/13/08. My 341 meeting was on 09/04/08. I haven't gotten anything in the mail since then about a new date for anything and Im wondering what is next in the process? I do still need to take the next credit course.

Im just basically wondering what the normal process is. Is there something else besides the 341 meeting?

Congratulations on what sounds like an uneventful 341!

You can always check Pacer to see if there's anything going on with your case. But you would have heard something if there was a continuation of your 341.

So thats it? Im just waiting for a discharge now? I guess I didnt research it all well enough. I was thinking a judge would be involved at some point.

That's right! You are just waiting for your discharge now.

Make sure you get that Post-Course done as soon as possible though. I actually did mine the week I filed, but then again, I'm a little anal retentive about getting things done early.

If you have a complicated case sometimes a US Trustee can get involved, but again, you would have heard something.

Heres what I saw in Kansas- the difference between attorneys and pro se at the 341 meeting.

All the people with attorneys went first, so I got to listen in. The most notable difference was that the trustee told the people they may have to forfeit their tax return for next year.

My next tax return never got mentioned, but it also could be that my previous returns were < $1000.

You have a time limit on that course. You can do it online for about $35, and it is actually very good. If you filed joint, the price is the same but you have to tell them when you sign up for the course. It will take you about two hours but the course is good enough to learn and entertain. 'Hub
