    Dependants

When listing dependants, came I put children who live outside the home and recieve child support from us?
Or should I only list the children that live within the household?

In regards to dependents, typically you only list the children that are living under your roof, but you can add the expense of contributing to a dependent outside of the home on Schedule J,

I did include the child support expense, because it is huge! Considering we live off $3,000 a month net, while $1,000 goes out just for child support.

Yes our family of 6 gets $3000 a month to live on! While several kids get a $1,000 to throw around....sorry I vented.

        Throw around???????

Maybe they are being fed, clothed, sheltered and cared for.

You use the word several. Which means 'more than two'

Groceries alone probably take up 75% of that money.

You can't include kids who do not live with you as dependents, but you can include child support payments as expense when you do your means test.

Don't I know it, my 3 kids eat somewhere around $800 a month in groceries.

LOL Mom, that struck me oddly, also. I raised 3 by myself and 1000. was just enough to provide food, milk and no name sneakers. My boys used to "snack" on a box of cereal and half gallon of milk every night.

Also, the statement, "1000. a month JUST for child support." That money is JUST about the most important expense there is.

This is so OT and I dont want to argue, but I will.

You would have to be in my shoes to feel the way I do. Its just alot of money we dont see. I understand that no matter how much a custodial parent gets, its never enough. People always need (or want) more money.

LOL, "$250 a week is not enough to buy groceries"? Then how come I can make it on $120 a week for a family of 6; because I have to.

We are all guilty or poor planning...
                Now Im dropping it.
