If you filed BK and included USAA, what happen to your accounts?

I didn't have any accounts with USAA I only had a problem with a small bank I had a personal loan with and took 3 payments at once. they claimed they they were never notified. as soon as I gave them the BK info they put all the money back.

I only had one credit card (included in the BK) and auto insurance. Online access is gone but my insurance was just renewed.

When we filed Ch 13 we had one USAA Mastercard and also had our life insurance and car insurance with them. For whatever reason USAA did not file a claim in our case, so the $10K we owed them will be completely wiped out. It's been over two years since we filed, and we still have both our USAA car and life insurance with no increases in payment amounts on either.

According to USAA if your account is restricted, meaning you have to call them to do things, it will be that way for 7 yrs. You will still have all the services you had before filing but you can't get new services.

Our account is still the same as if we didn't file. We still have online access, insurance, etc. And we BKed 2 CC's, which was a large amount.

I filed Ch 13 BK in April 1996. It was discharged in Mar 2001 I believe.
I was able to use USAA.com for access to my checking and to buying services. I booked a cruise through USAA.com in 2006. I tried to look up a cruise again in 2007 and found I was restricted from buying services.

I found out Oct 9 I am now restricted from online access.

12 years from filing BK, 7 years from discharging my BK, they restrict access...

USAA closed all my accounts, banking and did not renew our insurance. Only thing I still have is my brokerage account, that is it.

I so worried about this. We stopped paying our mortgage and our USAA card. We will be staying in our house now as long as possible... but they also carry our homeowners insurance. If they don't renew it... then we won't have insurance. I'm really confused. Our policy ends in Feb. We already stopped banking with them to be safe but now I am not sure how to pay them for our insurance each month. They'll have to send us a bill I guess.

Stinks becuase USAA is such a good company and yet they gave me the most debt! 2 credit cards and a personal loan i will be filing ch 7. My total debt with them is $24k.

Is USAA a credit union? Do they do cross colateralization? I have an auto loan I would like to reaffirm with them but have a couple other accounts that are unsecured with them that will be included in my ch 7.

I talked to someone that works at USAA and they told me that over the past few weeks they are starting to crack down more on those that filed BKs, have charge offs, etc.
They will send out a letter and close all your accounts.

I don't know what it means for those that filed/discharged earlier than now.

hello can you tell me did you reaffairm auto loans with usaa,iam so confused ,mu husband was injured in ireq tbi,ptsd, now in recovery we had to fild on 12/29/10 and 341 is on 1/31/11 ,so stressed ,usaa wants me to reaffairm loans on two auto we are keeping,and current plese help .anyone

no do not reaffirm the loan. i did a ride through and then 6 months later decided I didn't want to keep paying on my 11 year old car. so i just stopped and they came and took the car. i owed nothing and didn't hear anything after that. when i originally called usaa the lady in the bk dept was pretty much telling me "not" to reaffirm and just do the ride through method.

Wow, USAA allowed me to get coverage on my new home, and keep it even after Chapter 7. They even wanted to me to continue auto insurance with them (I switched because now I am going away for most of the year, and GEICO allows me a 70% reduction for not using the car.)
