How much are your attorney fees?

We paid $5K. Everything included and we are two sole proprietors. Everyone in the office was wearing flip flops and jeans BUT we are very happy with our atty/paralegal so far!! They respond quickly and know their "stuff".

Hey I paid $750, plus filing fee & the $50 online program.

Our attorney charges $1,500 plus the filing fee for chapter 7. He said that if we were forced in to 13 the fee for that is $3,000.

We paid 750.00 + filing fee. I met with 3 attorneys. First was 1500, second was 1300 and the last was 750.00.. It bothered me he was so low.. However, I liked how much paperwork we had to fill out before we ever met for our free consultation.. The wife thought it was annoying.. I said.. this leads me to believe he is on point with details. I was taken aback at his low price compared to the others i asked point blank why he was so low.. He said WHAT?? no way.. He was really taken aback and asked me what the rates were going for. LOL

$3,000 paid in NYC for an attorney who knows the various Trustees in the district.

There are some pretty expensive amounts for C7's on here. Are you guys complicated? assets?

We are complicated, and an asset case. But from what I'm reading here, our 2K fee seems about midway.

$1324 for a C7, no assets. This included filing fees. We paid our own counseling fees. No hour charge unless there is a problem, and he doesn't see one.

Thanks to all for responding, hopefully collectively we've helped some newbie's out there. Obviously my fees are excessive! At this point my att has decided to waive our remaining balance (another 2,500.00 that would had been a total of 7400.00) It's clearly the result of her upcoming Show Cause hearing & having to answer to the judge. We've agreed to attend & support her, stating our position, but if probed... we will not lie. We'll be honest about from here on.... we have a amicable relationship, we're happy with her services, we've been discharged with only one more buy back payment left and she's waived any outstanding fees. We want to move forward, & do what we must to get our case closed. We're content with the agreement & her promise to continue to represent us until so, free of charge. That's a turn of events hah? I'll keep BK Forum updated on the show cause hearing (wish us luck). (I think) It'll be the first circumstances of contested BK attorney fees here on BK Forum. Just a reminder, this was solely the result of the court observing the fees because our att amended the schedules.

It sounds like your attorney got caught, and that is why she is so cooperative. That is GREAT news. Those fees were outrageous.
