Sounds like you two just got into a personal fight that started on the internet. If you are truly ready to stop, why are you telling us to pm you and giving out personal info about the guy?

His sexual orientation and religious beliefs are none of our business. You seem to cite these as proof that he is a bad man. He just might be a bad guy, but these are not the reasons, so why mention them?

Ignore the whole thing. Judges recognize frivolous lawsuits if that is what it is.
Hi fltoo: no, the PERSON is out of control. If you have read the prior posts, his forum is not the only medium he has used. He has used signs outside of his business. He has filed numerous frivolous lawsuits against us--non brought to trial. He does not want to go to trial, only to cost us money trying to defend ourselves. He has turned in numerous complaints against us accusing of of plotting to harm him, etc., and his business partner a former police sergeant has falsified evidence against us, and the list goes on and on.

If you don't want to view the url, then don't ask. However, we have been slandered and libeled all over the place and have been harassed out of three jobs because of it.

If you haven't been the victim of cyberstalking consider yourself VERY lucky. It is becoming all too common.

I would not call it luck. I would call it smart that my name, pic and personal info is not on the net.

BTW, to protect yourself, google your name every few months and make sure nothing comes up, unless you want it to. If not, contact the website and ask that your name be removed. Most oblige.

I was out of town when this thread started, that is why I missed it with the other thread on Cyber Crime.

Hub, check your PM when you have time.

Hmm. It sounds like it is time to build some blogs and do a little search engine optimization(SEO) about your experiences with your town and community(sheriff, judge etc). Do this anonymously and then tie all together and present it to "dateline" 12-15 blogs about cyber stalking and lack of rights should do the trick before you reveal your story.

Hi fltoo: Yes you are right. 'Hub should never have posted his real name. However, this was 8 years ago when our local paper started to convert to a presence online. They had a section called ‘Letters to the Editor’. We mistakenly thought that we were addressing the real ‘Letters to the Editor’ in the newspaper. It was several weeks before we found that that the print version and the online version were two very different and diametrically opposed entities.

By that time the damage was done and it escalated from there.

For the record, I never posted my real name, but all the Adversary had to do was search online public records to find me. BTW to everyone, check out if your DLs and such are online. Eight years ago, the laws started mandating that public records be put online, but personal information such as SS numbers were NOT redacted. This is attempting to be corrected as we type.

I say that you are LUCKY if you are not targeted, because in your everyday dealings with people, you never know who is actually going to turn out to be a stalker.

I collected reams of paperwork of articles when I thought we had a chance of doing SOMETHING against this guy, of other people who had innocently given a name or number to someone at work, or a chance meeting at church, even.

So you just never know. Thanks!

The person who gave you all this misery has a mental illness. Cyberstalkers are bullies who derive their pleasure from causing others pain. Your Sociopath posting is the best. They dwell in forums and go in and out as various IDs to avoid detection. Some create several IDs and carry on conversations even with his/her self on the same forum. Internet trolling has been recognized as a mental illness. All one has to do is google "internet troll" and it's unbelieve what goes on and the problems it can cause. I personally knew of one person who was stalked and received emails from the stalker that he was coming to visit her that night as he obtained her address and posted it to prove it. She had to call the police and contacted her internet provider She had never given him her name and/or address. She had no idea how he obtained it. She assumes he hacked into her computer.

I certainly hope this mess with this person works out so you can get beyond the misery he has created.
