momof5 - Do you live in a big house or something? Because that is a lot for a bill. My monthly bill is only 150$ per month, family of 4, 1850 sq feet.

School started yesterday for us. I get school lists, clothes, football, cheer and both of the kids birthday's. So I know how you feel.

I, for one, really *appreciate* you or anyone else posting the code, verbatim. There have been times where I've had questions and get 2 distinctive different answers from numerous people (here and other BK forums), on parts of the bankruptcy code that really shouldn't be open to interpretation (questions that should be yes or no, white or black, 1 or 0).

I've gone through the bankruptcy code looking for my own answers, and couldn't find it. It's maddening. What I'm saying is, I for one appreciate you pulling out the relevant portion and sharing it here.

You're welcome. To add to what you posted about getting different answers... you'll get that even between two lawyers (in some cases). Some parts of the code are subject to interpretation still!

I have read so many cases from so many Districts, and it's funny how the different Bankruptcy Districts make polar opposite decisions in cases with very similar facts. Mind boggling, actually. So lately, I've only been reading opinions and decisions from my local Court. Matter of fact, I just wrote an Objection and I referenced not only my Judge's opinion in another case, but her peer (in the same courthouse) as well!

Any advice provided is not legal advice, but simply the musings of a fellow bankrupt.

And I have! And then, to add to the confusion, you see in sigs everywhere "I am not an attorney. For this matter, seek competent legal advice." Yet when a person (me) does, there's someone, somewhere who's going to claim "Oh, your lawyer is wrong."

That's the parts of this that are simply crazy-making to me, and why I tried to read the bankruptcy case law myself, to find exactly what it said for myself. Cornell has it online, and though I didn't read cover-to-cover, I read the sections that related to my questions. No mention one way or the other.

Then I had to question my own sanity, because clearly, I was expecting something from the government to make *sense*....

Awesome! That must have wow'ed 'um!
