We originally filed ch 13 and then converted to a ch 7 so for many months we thought we would be paying a huge monthly payment for 5 years. We had a priority debt filed against us after the person said they would not file so it took up a huge chunk of disposable income. Our atty was really doing a poor job and it was me that crunched the numbers and called him and said the means test I did on my own came up as qualifying for ch 7.So we have been through two 341's one for each chapter and they were actually quite easy and painless, other than our atty forgetting we had a court date and showing up an hour late.We didn't have to surrender our stimulus check or our tax return we didn't lose the house or anything else thanks to the dropping house values in California. Some things you read on this board can really scare you I have found over the past months so remember every situation seems to be so different you can't always assume your case will be the same.
