Wow this really came quickly! I am nervous, excited, anxious, apprehensive, scared but mostly I just want to get it over with........any last minute advise and wisdom from you 60 dayr's?

One problem I have is that I can't locate my SS card. Can I use some other form like a W-4? Thanks!

Go to the SS office and apply for a new card and you will get a print out with your SSN. I've had it accepted other places with problems.

In most districts, if you do not have your SS card, they will not permit you to proceed and you will have to reschedule your 341 meeting. I hope you can find it before Monday.

HHM suggested on another thread discussing this same problem, that you should take a W-2 form or 1099, or some other form like that. He said that as long as it is official and NOT prepared by the debtor, like an income tax return can be, might work. I hope so.

From the letter I received from my lawyer on Friday (verbatim):

Acceptable proof of social security numbers:
1. Social Security Card
2. Medicare Insurance Card
3. W-2 Form from the most recent tax year or pay stub
4. IRS Form 1099
5. Social Security Administration Report
6. Official Document which indicates Name and SSN

NOTE: Picture ID and proof of SSN must be originals, not photocopies. One document may be used for proof of both ID and SSN if it contains both a picture ID and the SSN.

I can't find my card either and applied for a new one on Friday. I thought I had it but it turns out I just had a stub. If it doesn't arrive in time, I am going to take serveral of the above.

Of course, I don't know any of the above alternatives will fly in your district: do a quick search on the web to find out.

Well, I couldn't find my SS card after looking in every nook and cranny but I did find some other stuff that might work: Last years w-2's, a 1098-E form, a letter from the Missouri Dept of Revenue Taxation Bureau with my name, address and SS#, and last but not least a selective service card from 1989(when I turned 18). It's an official govt. card with name, dob, SS#, and address at the time. I'm sure one of those will work for the trustee.

I confirmed my SSN from an IRS Transcript and an IRS Bill (for prior year Tax Due)!!! You don't need a Social Security Card. They will even take that "Statement" that you get from the Social Security Administration every so often.
