We did NOT sign, and that creditor--one of the most sorry companies we ever dealt with--is one that we were very happy to discharge.
At least all they did was send the agreement, the evil rat bastards showed up at ours. Asked if we were going to reaffirm and when we said no they wanted the laptops we had used as a colatteral. He was so not happy when I told him one died and I no longer had it. Not sure why he expected us to keep it. What was I gonna do with it? Use it as a coffee table decoration?!?! He asked if we wanted to keep the other and pay the $900. No! What about if he lowered it to $500? Let me think here, it's a 6 year old laptop worth $200 on ebay on a very good day and I can get a brand spanking new Dell for $600. Hell no! Again so not happy! I had to really hold back from laughing in his face. He said they would call to set up a time to pick it up. I hope they do call as they haven't filed for relief from the stay.

We signed the reaffirmation for our cars at the 341.

      Hi TS:

You SHOULD have laughed at them. We would have!!! "Hub has more than 40 years experience coming up through the ages.

A computer is 5 years out of date when it leaves the store's shelf, and laptops even more so.

I got one so far and refused they wanted to repo my wedding ring. They came back and asked if I would make a one time payment of $100.00. I said sure and sent the check I owed $400.

I was afraid if I started I wouldn't be able to stop. Didn't think it was a good idea to go in front of the trustee laughing my butt off!

And it may be 6 years old but it still works perfectly. Only problems I have ever had were software related and easily fixed. Could also be the fact that I am running Windows 2000 Pro and not Vista. I can't even tell you how many times I've dropped it and it's still going strong. Gotta love IBM!
