    Filed And Feeling Funny!

Finally, fricking finally, I am filed as of today. I thought I would be elated but am running through various emotions: fear, sadness, excitement, sickness.

I should feel relieved because I have a judgment that was dangerously close to becoming a garnishment, but I feel no relief as of yet. Maybe I'm in shock.

I can totally understand the feeling. Now all of your stuff is on paper and you can't take it back.

I kept worrying that we made some mistake that would cause us to get into trouble. So far nothing yet. Our 341 is Wednesday.

      Take it easy!

Wow Finally, I think it's probably a shock after a long build up the day has finally came. I figure we will be the same, it's been a long haul getting to the point we can file, we should be filed within about 2 weeks. I'm starting to get the butterflies I had when we first thought of filing.

          Hi ep:

I think you're in shock. It hasn't hit you yet. Congratulations!!!! And I hope you'll be able to make that judgement go away.

I felt the same way. I think it's because it's done and you didn't really ever think you would be in the situation...It was a roller coaster for me at every step but it's better than living with "loom" and when you see that discharge it was all so worth it I really feel like I am starting over and I love it !! A clean slate.

Once we filed, I got a very strange feeling - nervousness, anioxness, almost dread. It was the oh no! it's done and there is no going back now. Until then, we had option, at least theoretically. Now we had none. As the 341 is coming up and so far so good, I'm starting to calm down a bit.

                      Congrats
Seriously, you know what will make you feel better? Wake up tommorow and answer the phone!, trust me on this one.

"Hello this is XYZ collections, is Mr. Z there?"
                      speaking
"this is an attempt....blah, blah, blah"
Are you aware that I have filed BK? can i please have your name and employee number? Are you fimiliar with a violation of automatic stay? I am submitting your information to the federal violation of automatic stay review board.....(ok a little cheesy).

Or talk like Will Ferrell to the ones you really love, oh yes were not above taunting you with our BK, shame, nope...dignity, maybe

Dude/Dudeette, I know its notthe nicest thing to do to the poor collections people, but when you get a foriegn person or a new person on the phone it is the BEST!. Enjoy your guilty little pleasure, youve earned it. Anyways a week from now theyll quit calling and your fun is over.

Oh wait, last one I promise, give them your BK number and they will immediately ask for your attorney, tell them you have to go look it up and hang up, if they call back you get all crazy about how they knew you had filed BK and they continue to harrass you, and you have recorded all thier calls! (Sorry I guess inside im evil)

Not only am I not a lawyer, the California BAR association has sent me numerous letters telling me not to even THINK about going to law school. In fact, the lay advice I provide is not even good. In the end remember, you get what you pay for, and here in BK land were not the best at paying.
