    will this hurt me?

I am currently working my income under the 6 month look back period to pass the means test. when i am finished my entire income will be based on 32 hour work week as i am working 4 days a week the entire 6 months. at my job they regularly send nurses home if there arent enough patients.

I am a r.n. nurse, will this give me any problems?

i don't see how. i'm in a similar situation (not working a full 40 hours every week). it's just the nature of the job; i'm working the maximum hours available. sounds like you are too. easily defendable position.

Hope I'm interpreting your question correctly.... When you complete the income section of the means test, you will be adding up the total gross income on your pay stubs for the past six months (ending on the last day of the month before you file). You will then divide this amount by 6 to get the average. It isn't "based" on how many days you work, how long your pay period is, etc. It comes from the real numbers on your pay stubs, what you actually were paid.
