        Thanks jesse

I meet with two attorneys today. The first one I did some research and scheduled to meet with. The second one I am meeting today is a refferal from a firm that has a trustee at the court. The only thing that bothers me is I visted their site and they said they represent both debitors and creditors. When they called me back and said they only represent creditors. However, they had a refferal for me. When I called the refferal I really like the receptionist when I called to schedule the meeting. Minor..but nice. I can feel the ball starting to move..

          That's good news!

I know it may not seem like it now, but before you know it, you'll be filing. Time really does fly.

I have secured my attorney and plan to pay him off next Monday. Is there a way to look on PACER to view what your attorney has done?

I have never used this system before and my question may be irrelevant. I thought I read in another thread someone looked on PACER for their attorney was doing with other clients? However, I thought you needed to use ssn & last name.

I am posting it here if it will help someone researching an attorney. I assume if you can view your attorney you would be looking for mistakes on PACER?

yup you can search in pacer by case #, and should be able to see the attorney for each case on page 1 i think. if you find a case with his name, then read on. it gets spendy though so better to do this sort of search from the courthouse (free, there!)

Yes, INDEED! Be careful! I searched for my attorney's name, which was listed six times. I followed ONE of those links, and it produced a list of 4,000+ cases he's done since 1987 or something, and I was horrified to see that PACER charged me $10 for that! I consider myself to be pretty web-saavy, but I really screwed up there.

Great! I feel pretty confident in my attorney. I wanted this to be out there if someone else starts reading.

                  Thanks

I agree.. I asked the same questions.. I acted like I didn't know anything when I met with all three of my attorneys. I did ask some off the wall questions.. some things about PACER.. I asked after he was done with his spiel, this caught him off guard and he said apparently I was already well aware of the process since I knew about PACER.

Reading these forums and some ebooks I have really help me prepare for this whole process.
