    Ok, I'm printing!!

Just to get the motivational juices flowing, I started printing some of the fillable pdf forms like the petition and some other easy ones. I'm not going to file for a few more days (or until I can type everything...) but at least I feel a little stoked!!!!!!

I really want to get the petition in asap so maybe I can get the 341 scheduled before school starts and I have to ask for time off. I know this sounds goofy, but I am a lot less worried and depressed about life and finances now that I have a plan. The only thing I am worried about is the credit union auto loan and maybe if any of the creditors have objections (my luck Sears will want the carpeting I bought 14 years ago for my old house....).

    At least it's a start....

Good luck to you, Tabbygirl! I just finished printing off everything and signing the forms, and I'm filing tomorrow morning! I am SO glad this part of it is over and I hope I did everything right.

EEK, that brings another thought to mind....How long after you file do your creditors get word of it?

    Time for a new thread!

Debs, once you file, the Creditors are mailed from the courthouse according to your Creditor Matrix. Officially it should be by US Mail, however, some may be notified electronically. My best guestimation is: if you file on a Monday, most creditors will have been notified by Friday.

      Good luck.

Good luck to you as well!! I have to call the nice lady in the clerk's office and ask her some more questions tomorrow.

The bad part, however, is I am taking 2 grad school classes this summer and have totally blown off a project and assignment that are due tomorrow. One I can get finished, the project--weeeeeelllllll, it's gonna be late. I've been a tad bit obsessed with this ch. 7 stuff.

Best of luck and report back with the good news!

Thank you...in a way I am really nervous but also invigorated and feel like I finally might have a solution and plan. I'm in grad school to be a school counselor and I think this is akin to one of those counseling theories where clarity of a solution/plan makes the client feel 100 percent better.

Thankx. Once you get through this, you will be a much better counselor than just one who did the bookwork--if you know what I mean. Thankx again, and best wishes to you!
