Yeah I just got my first stay violation the bank that has my HELOC is going to damage my credit score. My well being didn’t seem to matter to them when they were raising my payment every month.
I will just call them Monday and give them the case number.
PS I would not give them any information if you are filing or have filed

      Another letter - account "cancelled"

Well, today we got a third letter from them!

This one says they received notice of our BK (yeah, right - like a month ago) and says that due to the agreement, the account is now cancelled(as of LAST TUESDAY!).

Interestingly, before we got the mail, my husband had paid the next due payment this morning (which was accepted). The payment was due as of tomorrow.

So what in the world does this mean? HELOC is cancelled?

I would take it to mean you can't make any more withdrawals / cash from it. Which is common sense of course, but maybe it's their policy to tell you this.

What they did is quite obvious. If you pull out your paperwork that you both signed when you took out the line of credit, you will find all the information you need as to what occurred in your situation. They can probably lower your account limit at any time and also close your account at anytime - in this instance your BK probably triggered the closure and they did not want the risk of you having access to the extra cash in your HELEC.
