    Is your discharge date accurate??

I am supposed to be discharged from Ch7 today. I just checked PACER, and it still shows awaiting status.

I was wondering, if discharge may be delayed because of the sheer number of cases being filed?? Or is it a PACER update issue??

    Thanks for the info.

I have read of several different cases where the postings on PACER have been delayed either due to the sheer number of BK cases being filed, or the clerk doing the work being flooded. Go check out Ms. Southernbelle.

    Good luck to you!

Ahhh...I just keep secondguessing this thing at every turn.

First, I wanted to keep the house (reaffirmed). Then decided to keep the house without the reaffirmations.

3 days ago decided to surrender it in the BK, to avoid having a BK & Foreclosure on my reports (if my thinking on this is correct). Because of my unstable job status, that is what brought me to that decision.

Wished I had a crystal ball. What if I screwed up, and should have kept the house?

Oh yeah...I surrendered it so that the deficiency balance would be written off in BK. I didn't want them to come after me for it later after the BK was over, and I had to foreclose. Or something like that

BK2008, you need to relax and get away from PACER for a while. It will eat you up financially too. It's 10:30 PM here and you are an hour behind. We need to go to bed and watch something lite on the TV. I suggest you do the same.

The day after the last day for objections is very rarely the discharge date in our district. I poked around on PACER and saw a range of 1-16 days later (usually 4 days). The last day for objections was yesterday for us, so I am on pins and needles too. I really didn't expect to feel so anxious at this point, but it's just like another 341 as far as stress level. Can't sleep, can't eat, probably not a very safe driver either!

Things will work out for you. I didn't get my discharge until day 66 and with all of my complications I didn't know if things would go smoothly, but they did. Be patient.

                  Thank you, all.

Really, I haven't been on PACER much, I had just checked it last night to see what it showed.

I'm only hyperventilating about the surrendering home thingy. I guess it's more emotional than anything else.
Knowing I will probably never get into a home again, but then again, I'm not all that crazy about doing my own yardwork, maintenance, and maybe apartment renting would give me a little bit of freedom, on the upside. (Trying to be positive here...)

Think about what Ms. Cat and I am going through. 341 Feb 7, Last day for objections June 12, and no news at all. We have a motion to go pro se with a hearing Aug 6. Maybe that is holding things up. 'Hub
If I knew it all, would I be here?? Hang in there = Retained attorney 8-06, Filed 12-28-07, Discharge 8-13-08, Finally CLOSED 11-3-09, 3-31-10 AP Dismissed, Informed by incompetent lawyer of CLOSED status, October 14, 2010.

You folks are in my prayers, even if I don't know you personally.. You have had more than your fair share of problems lately. So I think I will quit complaining right this instant. Hate sounding like a whiner

Just off the topic (OK, I'm gonna hijack my own thread), how did the banking issue with the GD work out??

Oh good! I'm glad it all worked out for you!
And remember: NEVER do a joint account or co-signfor/with anybody again (unless it's your spouse). Too much personal liability for you on someone elses' behalf.

I learned that with my ex husband, a hard and very expensive lesson, to the tune of $175K (business-realated).

Update: I discharges 7/16/08, am due to close 7/17/08.

Now if we could just get on with the foreclosure portion...
Not knowing really how much time I have is nerve wracking. I wonder if my lenders know that I surrendered the property a few days before I discharged? I had originally stated I was reaffirming, but decided to let it go in the BK.
