    Pacer charges

Well now you all have got me scared. I have yet to receive a bill, anything in the way of a charge. I used my debit card and I haven't seen any charges and I have been checking Pacer since, maybe mid April or maybe it was May. How often do they bill? Are you charged for every web page you look at, status report, docket sheet. I won't want to see the bill if that is the case.
    Filed 3/21/2008
    Meeting of Creditor 4/28/2008
    Deadline for objections 5/28/2008
    Discharge date 6/27/2008

I think it is done quarterly. It is 8 cents a page viewed I think.

If it is less than 10 dollars they don't bill you.

8 cents a page...even if the page has no information regarding your particular case! It adds up. You have every right to be scared and I wish I had been that way before I started clicking. 8 cents doesnt seem like much till its hundreds and hundreds of pages in your account. Even ones that you dont recall ever clicking on. I honestly think its set up that way! It definately is a very poor web design and NOT user friendly at least for those of us in BK.

If they only bill you over $10.... is it possible to open a different account in my spouses name and basically start over?

I don't know mom, but they never billed me for mine however I used PACER a lot less than many of you, I had a good lawyer/paralegal team that kept me informed through steady emails etc about what was going on, unlike many of the folks I see here .
