Did he get his child support contribution reduced when his income reduced? They normally go by income so if he hasn't done that already, it might help.

He has not filed for reduction of support yet. That will be an ugly situation. But still a necessary one. Not really fair that we give $691 in support for 1 child and only netted (after taxes, med ins, and childsupport) $615 that has to support us and the other 3 children. I can't force him since I legally am not a factor in the equation, but I hope he sees the light. We have spent the past three days reducing any expenditures down to the barest amount possible. Thought about getting rid of house phone but that's not really safe if our kids are there without us. Lowered car insurance down too. Will raise it back if we ever return to a "normal" income. Surrendering the life insurance policy would also save $105/mon.
They are having meetings with the owners of the business today to see if there is remedy to this terrible payday. I thought that my husband should suggest that the owner's wife could sell her 10 karat necklace to help the employees pay their mortgages. I don't think he will suggest that, lol.
