    Dont understand Pacer system?

Ok I just went into the PACER system, looks like my case was closed today now??

How do I know if it was accepted or not?

Here is a couple of the things I found in it:

Case type: bk Chapter: 7 Asset: No Vol: v Judge: XXXXXXX
Date filed: 02/28/2008 Date discharged: 06/18/2008
Date terminated: 06/18/2008 Date of last filing: 06/18/2008

I am guessing because it shows a date of discharge it is final and I am clear of my debts? How would I know if it was approved or not?

Also another thing I found in the system:

    In Re: XXXXXXXX
    Debtor(s) Case No.: XXXXXX
    Chapter: 7
    FINAL DECREE
The estate of the above−named debtor has been fully administered.
The deposit required by the plan has been distributed. (Chapter 13 Only)
    IT IS ORDERED THAT:
    XXXXXXX is discharged as trustee of the estate of the above−named debtor and the bond is cancelled;
The chapter 7 case of the above−named debtor is closed.
Signed and Entered on Docket: 6/18/08

Hi again. As I said in the other post, it looks like you have been DISCHARGED and CLOSED at the same time. Congratulations!!! The other members will confirm my thoughts or not. Now, please take care of the proper names. Thanks

Did you start as a 13, then convert to 7? Or were you an asset case and have to make payments to keep your assets?

Freni31, on looking at this again, this appears to be a form that was filled out. You know, the 'one size fits all' type? If you never had a CH 13 at all, then just ignore that line.

I hope so! I will call my attorney tomorrow to confirm this!

I started as a Ch. 7 and ended with Ch. 7

Freni, just in case you don't get hold of your atty, AngelinaCat is right: if you're not in a 13, ignore that line: you paid no deposit and had no repayment plan. If you started and ended in a 7, that line doesn't apply to you.

Many of the forms used in bk are the same for different chapters; if you take a look at your Voluntary Petition (Form 1) it's a good example of this. Looks like the discharge order is the same way. Nothing to get hung up about.
Nolo Press book on filing Chapter 7, there are others too. (I have no affiliation with Nolo Press; just a happy customer.) Best wishes to you!
