We have Just Been Discharged (BK7) and I wanted to Say THANKS to those who have made this forum POSSIBLE and a BIG THANKS to everyone HERE!!!.....

This forum has been a great stress reliever and a XXL pool of information and knowledge... For without it I would not know what to do or where to turn when I was anxious and all stressed out.

Our discharge letter came yesterday and all I could think about was all the good people who have helped me through these rough times....(One BIG shout out to HHM - who's information always seemed to be accurate! - Are you a lawyer?)

It is a relief. Especially knowing that everything I own now (which is really not that much) is technically paid off for by default of the BK... (not my car though - and I don't own a house)

As far as our house is concerned - we moved last Dec (stopped making payments last July) - and they still have not foreclosed on us yet!!!! The house is still there vacant....

looking back I wish we would have just lived in it rent free--- but it was also very stressful living in a house you know you will lose....

How many months late are you? and what state?

It must feel great to wake up and not have the mind-numbing debt the first thing you think about-woo hoo!! We are now 2 months behind, in CA. I totally agree with you about the rent-free living vs. the stress of knowing you have to leave eventually..although it might make my cleaning schedule a little less rigid I'm going to start another thread in a moment because we do have a situation regarding the house that just materialized yesterday..

congrats to you. We file 6/26 and I can't wait. We haven't paid our mortage sine October (I think). I'm with you, we had to get out our house also, it became depressing. Our house has gone into foreclosure already. Best of luck to you in your new debt free life
