My paralegal had everything done for me, I just went over the numbers to make sure they were correct.

I put rent, utilities, cell, phone, cable, insurance, dental, medical, food, clothes, etc. Not sure what you mean by how detailed though?

We filed Dec. 28, 2007, and had our 341 on Feb. 7, 2008, so maybe that will give you a time frame.

I wanted to add that when I walking to see the attorney I saw a couple talking to another lawyer. The wife had a Louis Vuitton purse(and it was real) and expensive jewelry on. I asked the paralegal if they were filing, she said yes.

The paralegal also said that she has seen many women come in there with expensive things on. She even had a couple that went out and bought a Lexus and Denali a month before they came in to file BK.

Those people are fools!! I went extrememly "plain jane" to my 341!

In other words, I've seen some people mention things like hair cuts, trash, car registration things like that. Mostly lots of small stuff that adds up.

Did your paralegal "pad" any numbers, particularly those that were below the IRS standards?

She didn't need to pad, most of my expenses were close to the standards. The ones that were over by a lot were groceries and gas.

I just got the call with my case number, 341 meeting date and found out I was assigned to the cool trustee.

Now to hope I don't get audited because of the amount of debt.

Our BK attorney filed online (with PACER I suppose) and we had the case number immediately.

I wasn't sure if it took a day or two. But the paralegal called w/ the number, so I am happy.

I checked Pacer and I am not on there. Is that normal?

Not yet....meeting with attorney on Sat and assuming all goes as expected, should be filing in July. Very similar situation to you...over $100k debt, above-median, keeping fingers crossed for both of us
