JSS, contacting a bk atty is your best bet. But in the meantime, if you truly feel that the details of her filing are deliberately false, you can contact the U.S. Trustee Program (http://www.usdoj.gov/ust) and let them know: those tips are taken very seriously. But given that you have already contacted the trustee directly, this may be an unnecessary step since the trustee works for the U.S. Trustee Program anyway (except in NC and AL). What you might want to do is follow up with the trustee in writing, attaching photocopies of relevant documents that support your assertions that her numbers are incorrect or exaggerated. I guarantee you it will be taken seriously, though you should not expect to hear back from the trustee on it or be provided with direct info regarding her bk. The trustee works for the govt, and it's her bk: after you have provided the info you're really not part of it anymore, so don't expect updates or information on it beyond what you see in public record.
But in the meantime, concentrate on taking care of your own situation. If you are in a community property state, it may very well be that the only recourse you have is to file bk on your own. Many bk attys offer free consults, go see 2 or 3 and get an idea of what your options really are. Good luck!!!Nolo Press book on filing Chapter 7, there are others too. (I have no affiliation with Nolo Press; just a happy customer.) Best wishes to you!
