Regardless, go with the one you like! But is it high? Yes, I think it probably is.

I think the fees are high for a straight Ch. 7 even if it is a bit complicated. The most expensive one I found in all of L.A. was only $2000 and she was very highly recommended but no way I would pay that much. We got our's for $1300 although it was a simple "no asset" case. There was another guy - in retrospect I wish I'd have used him instead - who would have done it for $1000.
But if your case is very complex and the attorney is one that came highly recommended and you like him and you can afford it, then go for it.
