Do I have right Attorney? Asking for $s.

We saw an attorney yesterday for a chapter 13 in Arizona. We were quoted $3700, with 2000 down & the balance in the plan.

This also seems high to me but we really like this attorney. We did check out 2 other attorneys so not sure what to do!

Does this seem high to any of you? Any other people from Arizona have any advice?

Sounds high to me unless it's an unusually complicated case (business, lots of property, or ?)

If the other attorneys are a lot cheaper I'd consider one of them. If it's just a matter of a couple hundred dollars difference then go with the one you like.
Regardless, go with the one you like! But is it high? Yes, I think it probably is.

I think the fees are high for a straight Ch. 7 even if it is a bit complicated. The most expensive one I found in all of L.A. was only $2000 and she was very highly recommended but no way I would pay that much. We got our's for $1300 although it was a simple "no asset" case. There was another guy - in retrospect I wish I'd have used him instead - who would have done it for $1000.

But if your case is very complex and the attorney is one that came highly recommended and you like him and you can afford it, then go for it.

I should have drove up to LA if I could have gotten an attorney for 2k instead of the amount I had to pay here.
