Generally, any repossession people who are picking up a vehicle will sign in at the police station, just in case the vehicle is reported stolen. The person at the police station checks the list, and you will find out.

A sure fire way to get plenty of warning is to put it in a garage, if you have one. They can not enter your residence or a closed garage to repossess a vehicle without your permission, or without a court order.

I didn't cancel my insurance until the day they picked up the SUV, as per my attorney.

I missed 5 payments before the company did a motion of relief of stay, which was 3 weeks before my discharge. I called the company the day after the date on the paperwork for the motion and they gave me a day they would come. The person picking up the SUV(drove it away), gave me paperwork and I gave him the keys. It was pretty simple.

Repo guys will continue to call, knock on your door, etc. until they get the car. If this doesn't work they can go to the PD and have the PD escort them to your house or wherever you work.

I wouldn't advise anyone to hide a car that you are giving up.

same as me now i miss one payment an they said there coming to take my car.but hope they don't catch me.

The repo-man is very good at getting your car. He may take it when you go to work, or even to go shopping!

This is because many people who know the repo man is looking for them, garage their car overnight (or even during the day).

My friend parked her car two streets away, and the repo man FOUND IT!!!
