How do you know when case is closed?

How are folks notified when a case is closed. The status page in PACER has a block for the discharge date but nothing for closure. Is another letter mailed out saying the case is closed? Does PACER have a section for the close date? How will we know when everything is closed and finalized?

There will be a flag set that will be listed as CLOSED (all in caps) -- at least that is how the PACER system in CA does it. Thus, if you click on the Case Summary link, you should see a field called "Flags". Also there is a field called "Terminated" and if that has a date in it, then that is the date the case was closed.

    Good luck,

I got very lucky and our courts allow you to sign up for automatic emails every time their is a PACER entry. So, when something in our case was entered the lawyer got an email, the trustee got an email, my husband and I got an email, and mabey a few other people.

Other's I belive find out just by checking PACER. As getouttadebt said there will be a date in the "Terminated" field when the case closes.
