Just had my meeting this morning. Went great. Trustee was all smiles and very pleasant. Besides the attorneys, I was the only one with a suit and looked good. Others had hats, flip-flops and looked liked a circus. Show some damn respect people. Now it is just the waiting game

Good for you, best of luck... I also have a question about the suit issue, My first instinct is of course to wear one but is the object of the day to look a little "hard-up", or is that a ridiculous thought??Filed ch7 on 5/1

Last Friday I went with my son to his 341 hearing. At 1 in the afternoon, it was already 100 degrees. People were there in shorts, tanktops, and sandals without any socks on.

The same with my 341. Lots of folks there looked like they came directly from work or just woke up. I purposely went home to change because I was paranoid about being underdressed. Not too flashy, but respectful.Filed Chapter 7 (Primarily Business Expenses) 04/10/2008 FICO 468

People were dressed all over the spectrum at my 341. I wore dress slacks and a dark colored sport coat with a longsleeved white dress shirt-no tie. A guess you'd call it business casual. One lady was a nurse. She came in scrubs and a hospital ID tag around her neck. One guy was in faded jeans with a belt buckle the size of a serving platter. And then, there was everything in between.
I think your best bet is just dress neatly in clean clothes and be a bit respectful of where you are. No flashly jewelry or expensive watches unless, you declared them on your petition!
