    341 today

OK, I have not posted any threads in more than few weeks. I just wanted to put it all out of my mind while waiting for my 341.

Well, I had it today. I sat in the back and watch other go before me. I was very nervous, my heart was in my throat.

I watched as people were asked questions off of a form that everyone had to fill-in before hand. Anyone with property, they were asked a lot more questions. Have you tryed to sell your house? What is your house value? You just refi, what did you do with the extra money? and so on.

Any one there with a LLC really got the third degree.

I was the only one Pro Se. Then it was my turn. I went up, he asked me to come to his desk. Then he asked if I was represented by an attorney(I did not have anyone next to me, so he know, thats why he asked me to his desk), I said NO, Pro Se, he gave me a look. I thought I was done. He asked who did the papers? Anyone help you? Did you know what you were doing?
I said, I have two books and read the laws at the Cornell law libaray online. His look changed, he asked me to seat at the desk that everyone before me had sat. He asked me 5 or 6 questions. Do I own any property? How many vehicles did I have? Do I rent were I live? Who's you landlord? Did I understand the form I had Just filled in? Did I have any question? He followed it up with good luck.

To top things off I had my 8 month baby with me, I had no baby sitter today. And my son was very loud. But UST seemed to understanding.

He never asked for my tax returns or paystubs. He asked is everything was correct on my schedules.

Now I just have my fingers crossed. Thanks for the support prior to my 341 everyone.

Wow, good for you and thanks for sharing. Sounds like he is a good trustee and just wanted to make sure that you knew what you were doing. Makes me wonder what he would have done if a pro se filer had told him that NO, they did not understand.

    Hmmm...guess we'll never know.

    Glad that's behind you!

Sounds good , he might still ask for those things through mail but unlikely now.

Remember the 341 is recorded. He wanted to make sure on the record you understood what you were doing.

Hey there, Congratulations!!! You survived with an 8 month old with you. I hope ours will be short and sweet, just like that. Especially when we will be bringing our 3 boys, ages 4,3 and 9 months. June 3rd is coming quick and can't wait to get it over with!

Good for you for doing your studying and being able to present an impressive answer to that! You rock so hard!!!! I *adore* when people do that kind of studying before filing pro se... you give the rest of us pro se filers a good name. That may actually be why his look changed, to be honest.

Congratulations to you on making it this far, and welcome to the Sit Around And Wait Club. It'll be over before you know it, and the hardest parts are behind you. Good luck!!!
Nolo Press book on filing Chapter 7, there are others too. (I have no affiliation with Nolo Press; just a happy customer.) Best wishes to you!
